Designed to fit a broad range of deployment and configuration options, the Hewlett Packard Enterprise ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Server Blade is powered by up to two Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 processors and contains 16 DIMM slots with a maximum memory of 512GB. With other performance features including DDR4 memory with HP SmartMemory technology, 2 SFF SAS/SATA drives, and 12 Gb/s SAS, the HP BL460c Gen9 contains several performance improvements over previous generations to handle the most demanding workloads including core IT and virtualization.
Flexibility and Versatility for Different Workloads
Providing increased deployment flexibility, the HPE BL460c Gen9 server blade offers flexible embedded storage controller options including the HP H244br Smart Host Bus Adapter, HPE Smart Array P244br, or the HP Dynamic Smart Array B140i Controller. Every BL460c Gen9 includes USB 3.0, future optional dual micro-SD, and future optional M.2 support for configuration variety of system boot options. Both Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) and Legacy BIOS modes are available for increased deployment versatility and configuration.

The HPE BL460c Gen9 blade server features HP OneView, which provides a single comprehensive view of the data center, firmware, managing hardware, software, and drivers accelerate IT service delivery and boost business performance. Also featuring HP Integrated Lights-out (iLO) software, the BL460c Gen9 delivers server lifecycle management improvements such as iLO Federation, which remotely manages groups of servers at scale with built-in rapid discovery of all iLO devices, group configurations, group health status, and ability to determine iLO licenses.
