Containing a maximum storage capacity of 384TB, the HPE MSA 2040 leverages a new controller design using drive technologies like SSDs with a new processor, and four ports with 4GB cache per controller. The MSA 2040 comes standard with support up to 64 snapshots and enabled Volume Copy for improved data protection. Optional Remote Snap software allows replication between FC or iSCSI based arrays. Featuring a compact 2U form factor, the MSA 2040 helps reduce operating costs such as power consumption and footprint through SSD support with an integrated “wear gauge” that contributes to optimal application performance. Built with a flexible architecture, HPE MSA 2040 storage array integrates management tools to simplify setup and management for HPE ProLiant and BladeSystem servers. Based on application, budget and performance needs, the HPE MSA 2040 allows users to choose disk enclosures with small or large form factor drives to best fit requirements. Drive types available with the MSA 2040 include Enterprise-class SAS or Midline SAS drives and high-performance Solid State Drives. The MSA 2040 storage array also allows user to match the configuration needs of their infrastructure with choices of 8Gb/16Gb Fibre Channel, 1Gb or 10GbE iSCSI, and 12Gbps SAS. .
