The school year is back in full swing, and we were excited to help our neighbors at Endeavor Elementary School! The V-Team was able to spoil the students and teachers with some of their most-needed items, such as backpacks, paper towels, glue sticks, and antibacterial wipes. While many students can start the school year with all their supplies in-hand, a need still exists within the district for students who cannot afford them.
As a part of Kentwood Public Schools, Endeavor Elementary is also a community school with Kent School Services Network. A community school brings together partners to offer support and opportunities for the students and families in the communities they serve. With the goal of helping the Endeavor scholars reach their potential physically, emotionally, socially, and academically, students are provided with resources and assistance for mental health, attendance barriers, medical services, and basic needs. By forming a partnership with Endeavor, the V-Team will support the students through various experiences and donations by hosting donation drives and volunteering with the students at recess or as mentors. This is an exciting opportunity for our team and the Endeavor Eagles as we work together throughout the school year!
