As part of our community outreach program, We sought to sponsor a child and provide them with the opportunity to attend Camp Blodgett. Camp Blodgett offers a summer camp experience to children from diverse socio-economic backgrounds through a sliding fee scale. This allows campers to engage in a variety of activities that they may not typically have access to such as archery, workshops, hiking, and campfires.
Initially, our goal was to raise $500 in order to send one child to camp. However, we surpassed expectations and raised approximately $2,500, enabling us to send FIVE children to camp. This achievement would not have been possible without the exceptional dedication of employees from each branch of the VPE family, which includes Vista IT Group, V3 Distribution, and VTF. They really went above and beyond to support these children, and we couldn't be more proud!
About Camp Blodgett
For over 100 years, Camp Blodgett has been providing children with educational and recreational experiences that foster social responsibility, promote academic success, and develop self-esteem. The camp aims to offer an enriching and enjoyable summer camp experience to all children in Kent and Ottawa Counties. Each year, Camp Blodgett serves over 500 campers during the summer camp program. Throughout the school year, they maintain ongoing communication with their summer campers and extend their services to as many as 200 young individuals through programs such as Young Leaders, STEM Squad, and Day Camps.
